Adult Coturnix Male

« on: June 11, 2008, 01:03:58 PM »

Hey,
looks as though i have a coon problem, its destroying my garden and pond.  I wake up every morning finding pots of plants knocked over and such, if i dont take action quick i'm afraid i will lose all my fish and plants, if only i had a  c110 .
What have all you used to win the war against the predator? , as a last resort i'll try to save money for an electric fence, thats what i have my mind set on.

Any help is appreciated!!  j2

Win a battle maybe. Win the war against predators never.
Traps and guns work for me.  c110 The problem is by the time I
know there around some birds are missing.
Need the electric fence I think.
I have a gray fox and a fisher poking around now.
Birds are still ok for now.

I see that home depot has a spool of electric wire, but where does the electricty come from, in other words where is the plug to connect it to a outlet? Its just a roll of wire, I'm unsure on how this would work.

The electric outlet has two narrow vertical slots.  One end of the wire goes into one slot, the other end goes into the other.  You won't be using the round hole beneath the two slots for this.  Lick your fingers really good first before handling the wire so they're moist. j1

Seriously...as slider mentioned already, you need the fence charger....and insulators (various types  are available, depending on how you will be installing).

I would not have said that for nothing..although I did think it.. s020
If you do not know how to install an electric fence then you do not need to be fooling with it until you have read enough about it to be successful .
