1 hatched 30 to go

but i lost track of the date & been turning all along.  kid was turning & said 1 was hatching.  I said it's too early and then the chick  chirped.  I rechecked dates.  It was 16 days.

Hatching corturnix or buttons?, easy done getting dates mix up done that a few times, don't get your hopes to high if you didn't raise your humidity

I never checked humidity because we are in minnasnowda where the humidity runs about 90 all summer.  Didn't seem to have getting out of eggs.  About 50% are hatched now.  I transfered to a brooder I built with bottyom covered with newspaper.  Is that too slick for them to stand on?

yeah you should of stop turning 3 days ago. But should be fine.

use those non slip kitchen pads for covering the bottum. this will help them get a good footing. also sprinkle some pine shaving around. this will help for absorbing the droppings and killing the smell.

thanks 2 all. none more have hatched.  1 has died and a few aren't doing well.  put an old screen in brooder.
