1 hatched 30 to go
but i lost track of the date & been turning all along. kid was turning & said 1 was hatching. I said it's too early and then the chick chirped. I rechecked dates. It was 16 days.

Hatching corturnix or buttons?, easy done getting dates mix up done that a few times, don't get your hopes to high if you didn't raise your humidity

I never checked humidity because we are in minnasnowda where the humidity runs about 90 all summer. Didn't seem to have getting out of eggs. About 50% are hatched now. I transfered to a brooder I built with bottyom covered with newspaper. Is that too slick for them to stand on?

yeah you should of stop turning 3 days ago. But should be fine.
use those non slip kitchen pads for covering the bottum. this will help them get a good footing. also sprinkle some pine shaving around. this will help for absorbing the droppings and killing the smell.
