All sorts of flamers, huh?  After the tractor crashes, I thought this was about a blazing Mercury!

Speaking of which....while I was in the city picking up my free windows, I got, um, miss-placed. When I got my bus length truck turned around, a fully reconditioned 67 Cougar was at the stop sign. I gave him a thumbs up ! Had one , way back when...

I was allways slightly amazed at the fact that both the '67 Camero, and  '67 Cougar were the only ones with wing windows.  They are also the two that epitomize their respective model names.  I also think the '67 Mustang may have been the last with wing windows.  I had a 390 GTA Fastback.  Naw, '68, and maybe '69 had wing windows.

God, we are old.  I paid $1500 for a '69 440 six pack Roadrunner.  Think that was '72.

I've still have my 1970 Ford LTD 2dr coupe. Original paint, original vinyl roof,69,000 miles, 390ci. I drove it in highschool, has been in storage since 1985, bought it off original owner in 1980 ($1000). Dated my daughters mother in it before we were married.  :-o I fire it up and take it down the road every once in a while. No wings, but the whole side opens up when the door windows and small back windows are down. A/C still works like new. Burn the tires clear off and never move a foot!!

The Cougar isn't the one Bro had....but the same. Bro's was one of the Ford race teams cars.
The Mustang is one (of two) Bro had: 1969 R-6 (6 in the would only). 428 Super CJ.

I'd love to have that Roadrunner now! I looked for 1 when I was in high school.I wanted either a '70 440  six pack Roadrunner or a '65 389 tri-power GTO. I found a GTO first and I still have it j2

While Bro was spending all his money on heavy cars to make them fast, I boiled it down to weight/horse power. Light with lots of horses makes fast and cheap (behave !).

  I can't !

Women and cars have always been closely comparable.

Can't make that one click.  Vega?  Monza?  Canadian POS?

1972 Pinto. An extra set of tail lights, flipped over to make 4. Guy that did the body work had a wee bit of humor.....first one got squished between two full size cars and shortened it 3'. Said I needed more red lights on the back  ::)
I had built several of these cars. One was a stn wagon, wood side (stick on type).
302 Windsor.....but many changes to it. Turned high 11s/low 12s....depending on weather and track conditions.

Had a Boss 302 built.....likely a good thing I never got around to putting it in. Had an est. 600+ horses.

OK, guess that made tailights a little like the Monza.  I always thought that Pinto wagon would be handy to have.  I looked at Monza in 77, but my feet would not fit floor boeard space.  I bought a Cobra II. (302)  Fast, but wasn't real happy with it.

wildergamebirds,   67 was the last year for Mustang to have wing vents and 69 was the only year for them to have dual style head lights.   I have a 70 Mach I that has been restored with the 351 c with 4 barrel. The last couple of years it has been sitting in the garage, could use some touch up work done on it tough

Didn't take it that way, had typed Get instead of Guess.  I thought '67 was last one, then doubted myself.  I should never think I'm wrong!  Couldn't really place a particular '68 or '69 in my history of friends' cars. I knew for sure they were discontinued by '70 glad you had the answer (saved me from searching).
