2 year old weimaraner

I have a chance to get a 2 year old weimaraner male from a man that can't spend the time with the dog.  No bird training just basics like sit come fetch.  I did happen to see dog point when he saw a rabbit.  Do I still have a chance to make this dog a good bird dog or not.   thanks for any help

They do not  have the strongest hunting insticts but some work well.  You have to get him around birds and see what hi reaction is.  Training is usually just reinforcing what they have instinctively.  If he snifs birds then you can start woeing him.
