just went to feed my chuckars and I have a 8 month old female laying on her side with a bent neck.Cant stand up and shes on her way out. They are raised on wire .Rest are doing fine and she was also this morning. I had to buy a bag of 8 month old feed yesterday because my supplier ran out. Could this be the problem ?

It's a possibility that she was spooked and flew up and hit the roof of your pen.  I've had some to do that before and it can break their neck if its hard enough.
