Can you crack open a quail egg to check if it has been fertilized?  And if so what do you see?  With big chicken eggs I know that you see a blood spot, is it the same for quail?

I have cracked open a couple of quail eggs, I see a small white spot does this mean anything?  Is this the umbilical cord or an indication of fertilization?

I have one male with my 3 girls, he may be gay.... then again I may not know what I am doing
