Been hatching chicks for a couple of years but got a question. After I put the eggs in the hatching tray and push the tray in the eggs tend to collect towards the front of the tray.My questions is if the eggs are right next to each other will the hatching chick have difficulty getting out of the shell ?If so what can I do about it ? thanks, barnabus :D

I had the same problem with the sportsman. I don't know if it matters that the eggs are all piled up or not, but I didn't like it. What I did was cut some pieces of coated electrical wire(10 guage I think) the width of the tray and layed them in the bottom making rows. I don't know know if this helps the hatch, but it sure looks good!!

The biggest problem I had was the early chicks tend to kick around the other eggs as they hatch and struggle to get out.  This may slow the others down, worst case, cause the initial pip hole to become blocked and deprive the chick of air.
