Backcountry,That is a steal, if you get anymore send it my way will pay shipping and for the cost of the wire this would be cheaper than what I could get it for.  s020 1/2 x 1 for the floor works as good or better than the 1/2 x 1/2  ty2 Jim

1/2X 1   snakes and rats can easily get in one inch as well as raccoons reaching in

half by one is perfect in my opinion.  the heavy guage will not allow the coons to tear through it either.  That's what I use on all my cages and large flight pens.  one by one is definitely too big.

This would only be for adult birds.  chicks and fairly younger birds won't appreciate the size too much.

I agree with everyone thus far. Coons would definitely be a problem in my area without some sort or barrier to keep them from getting underneath the pen. Although, I would have the same problem with 1/2x1/2.

I have 4 cages (2X5) that I built to hold sitting chicken hens and since have been using them for japanese quail.  they work alright except I do notice a little more foot problems than with my other pens which use 1/2 by 1/2 hardware cloth.  That is a cheap price!
