Bad eggs

I candled my chicken eggs as I put them in the hatcher and I am sad to say only 4 of the 12 had chicks in them. I broke open the others to find that all but 2 were not even furtile. I am going to ask the lady for some more, she said she would just give them to me. I just can not believe that so many were infertile, oh well I was just giving them to my mom any way. I hope the second batch go better.
