 s176    s80    s53

Practically every day there is a explosive thunderstorm or 4 around here dumping huge amounts of rain.

Power outage constantly.

High winds and massive amounts of water within minutes.

Damage to everything is constant.

Another 1 1/2" of rain yesterday eve on top of the 1 3/4" the day before.......all dumped within a matter of minutes.  I never thought I could get flooded on top of one of the tallest ridges in the county, but it looks like a river on hill sides around here.

Any vegetables or corn that has grown, isn't growing worth 2 cents because of hardly any sun and too much rain......all year!  Any corn will get leveled with the wind, some already has.

I'm thinking of moving to Canada........where everythings good........and free!   ^-^

RANT!

Tell me about it!! We were just discussing how there has been a thunderstorm every night for the last, what seems like, year!! I don't have to water the flowers, but that's about the only good thing about it... Rode my horse for 10 minutes between thunder claps this afternoon... Don't have a rain gauge here, my dad, the farmer is the one that tracks all that stuff, but I swear it has rained enough to put a boat afloat in my front yard. It can stop anytime.... s176

My corner of Scotland hasn't been any better,  non-stop rain & thunder storms.  My coturnix who's pens are on ground level were flooded, and a couple of birds drowned the rest are now in temporary housing, then we've had power cuts which along with stupidity caused the death of most of my bob chicks.   But the forecast here supposed to be drier for July .... so here's hoping.

   Glug, glug, glug.........

Every time I try to respond, I take a breath to speak, and suck in a quart of water.

We are well over 30 inches for the year, and the average for the whole year is about 42-44

Every time a dog pees, we get a new, named creek to go on the map!

Wild Quail are on the increase in areas with rolling ground and not carpeted with that stinking Fescue!

Incubator humidity is easier to maintain.

No flooding problems, but flash flooding around to thin out the morons, if they wouldn't keep announcing on the news "don't drive into raging water"!  The interference with Natural mortality of stupid people is a much greater disservice to the planet than carbon dioxide, or even oil spills.

Yet another toad strangler yesterday afternoon and for crying out loud, it's raining again now.   s2

No matter how sunny is out, one had better not venture far without shelter. Me Toyleta is rustin' like a bean can!

I've never had a mosquito problem on this ridge top and last night they where so bad I couldn't stand to stay outside.

One nasty year for agriculture or gardening here, that should help keep the food prices down.   :-|

s53  El Nino!   I wish they'd put that joker behind bars!

Steve,  lets hope you won't need the scuba gear.  It does sound like it's getting bad though,   stay dry and safe

Bridge flooded Saturday.

Wasn't another giant stump/root ball I hope?  I bet you're getting tired of that this year, although there shouldn't be much debri left in a creek anywhere to plug anything up, at least not around here.

The only debri that should be left to to plug up a culvert would be what the fella upstream cleaned out of his!!

I hear more thunder and the sky it looks like midnight right now. I wasted my money on a 210 gallon water tank to water the garden with this year, no need for it.

CharlieHorse,

I was down at the bridge this morning with chainsaw in hand and rope.

Nothing major this time just long assted log length a crossed the tubes. I lucked out no brush piles like the last time.

The rain started here at 1pm with the temps 74* and it is now 64* and still raining.
