Title: Regulations
Post by: Sharon on April 08, 2009, 08:05:00 PM
I work at a pet store and i was wondering if there were any regulations on selling certain species of quail.  Ive searched the Ag and Markets website to no avail.  I emailed them and am waiting on a reply.

Domestic Game breeders license. 10 dollars for your own use. 50 dollars if you want to sell meat, live birds, eggs, give away meat, eggs, etc.

These fees are paid annually. http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/25010.html

Captive bred domestic species only I believe, so I guess this is good for me. I want to raise BWs, which are native here.
