It's that time of year again for me, where my Pheasants and Quail are interested in going broody.
However, I'll not let them sit unless someone wants the chicks. The two pair of Valley Quail have nests. I'll be leaving their eggs, as one pair hatched 8(?) last year.
But the Reeves and Amherst eggs will be taken away (soon) if no one wants the chicks they (may) hatch.
Golden's eggs are not left. The hens are not as good as can be, so I do not keep their eggs, Spoiled pets !
So if you want em, let me know.....

Do you deliver?
-
Within reason.
Cheaper than shipping !
-
How close to Michigan would you drive...
I'll pick up trailboss' birds my next trip... LOL
-
Michigan is only about a 3 day drive, one way. Cost per Valley chick should only be about $300.00 each to drive them over to you !
I'll make the plans now & you can send me the cheque in the mail now !

If I lived about 400 miles North, $300 wouldn't be anything, just a drop in the bucket!
Do you take Pay-Pal? Pal?
All kidding aside, I'm strictly Northern Bobs, although I bet those will be some mighty fine birds. Shouldn't be any problem for you to find a taker.

Very flighty though, when parent raised.
My Amherst hens are evil witches when they have young !

I just got done with a 3 day drive...left Vegas on Friday and didn't get home till Sunday night. Following them was so frustrating...they drove SOOOOOOO passively, not necessarily too slow, but I couldn't even set the cruise at the speed limit and leave it there more than a few minutes. So I'm not up for another 3 day trek right now, maybe some other time.
Would have been a better trip to split from Nevada last week tho...

GOOD DAY. I'm interested in your quail,I'm near lloydminster, how far are you from here and what are the cost of eggs .thanks Kevin

Don't sell or ship eggs.
However, if they hatch some chicks I'll try to remember you may be interested in them.

One of the Reeves hens went broody a day or two ago. I'll candle the eggs in a week or so to see if they are OK. If they are, anyone want birds with "abundant character" ?
-
What!? No shipping to Arkansas?
-
Nope.
Pick up only !

The hen had some sort of a wreck. Busted an egg & the contents got on the other eggs, stuck feathers etc. so I tossed them. She is not pleased.
The way it works sometimes......

This is Sunday & I'm fairly sure the Valley hen that hatched chicks last year went broody a couple days ago. Good girl !
