Hello Everyone
I live in California and I would like to raise some quail(valley, gamble, mountain)in my back yard.Probably a couple of pairs of each specie. My plan is to do it the right way and register with dfg.I guess what I would like to know is what is the actuall process once I send the registration form(and of course the money)? And is it actually worth it going through all that hasle for such small quantity of birds?Meaning is the dfg always at your door step just to see what have.Any feed back would be really appreciated.       Thank you

IMO, not worth the trouble.

If you sell your birds for prophet I would register. Its a small fee and a simple form. If they come knocking on your door play ignorant. There is more of a chance of them visiting you if you are registered than not.

I have a hunting licence and that would be my response if ever questioned.
