I am looking for the Asian blue quail typically called the ‘button’ or Chinese painted quail, or Chinese blue breasted quail and I am looking to buy from a reputable breeder.  I would buy from a well known member here if possible.

You might ask why I am posting since so many people sell the eggs of these little birds, but I do not want any of the morphs, color combination that they come in.  I want the original blue quail with white throat patch and his female mate, these are the normal wild type colors.  Who can provide the more native strains? Most breeders say that they cannot garantee what color combinations you will get since they have been cross breed.

Try this guy.  He is an expert on Chinese Painted Quail and says he has them.  If anyone does, he will.

:D

Were you able to get the original blue quail that you wanted?  Keep me posted on your hatch rate, results, etc.  Garrie only lives a few miles from me and I may go over and get some for myself.

Thanks,

David

Slider,
If it was broken in the first steps of shipping, is it possible that it has the time to rotten?
