Im trying to think of a Breeding Unit I guess is what I should call it that has 4 Seperate Pens in one. That isnt tooo big but gives this ratio of birds a good amount of room
( 1 male 3 Female ). And is warm enough in PA winters but they still have wire walls.
Any suggestions are welcome and if you got pics please post em here!

My breeding pens are 4x8 with the back 3 ft enclosed with a roof. They have 1/2 in. wire on the bottom, sides, and top. I split them in half so each pair has plenty of room. Hope this helps. If i figure out how to post pictures i will. Where are you located in PA.

Im in center county right near the Jordan Center and PSU campus. Im going to make an 8ft long by 6ft wide main body frame and divide it into four. So each quartet will have a 6ft by 2ft pen. And then im going to also have clear roofing over the whole unit but have one part near the rear fully enclosed like a little nesting area. These are also going to be wooden floored units. I hate having my birds on wire. Thinking the breeding ratio of 1 male 3 females will work out okay.

what is the best recommended slope for bob white breeder pens for the eggs to roll out without breaking?

I think I used 1" for 1' in my rollout cages>

2' deep and 2" drop. The vibration from their movement rolls them forward.
