Post by: QUAIL on July 12, 2011, 02:49:31 PM
My Bob Whites I have in a pen off the ground are losing there feathers. They seem to be scratching alot I have a dusting box in the pen with them. There is alot of bugs around the pen look like nats should I spray some bug killer around the pen?Don't know what kind I should use so it does not harm the birds.
Thanks for any advise

If they are adults, it is the molting season.

Steve is right its getting to be that time of the year. You might inspect some of the birds of parasites just in case and add some 7 dust to their dusting box if you find any. It will not hurt to spray around the pen since its off the ground I used to do it all the time..
