work 350' underground see these things often biggest one fell out in a crosscut was about 25' long..wish i could have gotten it home

Yep underground miner. these things are very cool. as long as they dont fall on you. the rootwad is called a kettlepot. bout the size from a 5gal. bucket up to a 55gal. drum..the small ones weigh around 350 to 400 lbs..i have a few rare finds. sticks off the trees. just looks like a rock stick. very neat fossils was a big deal but take it for granted now, guess i see them all the time s020
