Title: Bobwhite Laying cages Outside
Post by: yote1 on October 15, 2009, 09:52:12 AM
Going to add some laying cages for the 2010 season. Looking for ideas and plans for cages outside. What I looking for is a design for  no sides, roofed shelter, I need to build it  so birds will be dry, and protected by the elements. I plan to use metal sheeting for the roof. What I would like to do is be able to raise and lower the roof for wet weather, and shade. Dimensions 12' X 16'  etc. I plan on hinging  the part of the roof I want to raise and lower. Would like any ideas before I start, this is going to be early Nov. job going in to early spring weather permitting.   s85
PS Pictures would be great also

I can get some good pics of what we built.
I think it may be what your wanting to do except for the hinged roof.
Give me a day or so and i'll post them for you.
If you like the design I can send measurements to make them.
They work great for us but we only use them for birds coming out of the brooder.

Would appreciate any pictures lengths, widths, heights, and designs. The hinged roof was something I saw on some rabbit cages, only I didn't look at it to closely    sincerely yote1
