This is only my second year here in the great state of Tennessee. I love it here but this heat is hard for this New England Yankee boy to get used to!
This year has been so humid (very southeast corner of the state) that when I go outside, the heat sucks the life right out of me. Since the summer began, it's been 100-106F with the heat index factoring in the humidity. Last year was hot, but not with this oppressive humidity.

This is such a beautiful state, but there are a few things I miss, like, living 20 minutes away from the Ocean, and those -10F New England winters!

Hail....Just got a call from the wife.
Soft ball size (and bigger) hit my place. One half mile to the north didn't get it !
Damage to everything. Her Ranger, house and pens. One went through the ski light (house), both panels, landing inside.

Hope our insurance guy isn't a hard person to deal with....

Opps !

I misunderstood the wife. Hail was golf ball size, the piece knocked out of the sky light was soft ball size.

The picture she sent me , taken with her cell phone , looks like huge hail stones though....

All bird are OK.

All aviary top wire beat up bad.

Wife's Ranger (20,000 km on it) beat up real bad.

House beat up. Needs at least two new windows and a new sky light. Plus roofing and other vents.

Pole barn tin beat up bad. Roof, west side and north side.

Aviary builds took a beating as well.

Plants and trees took a beating.

In the full length video, you can see the golf ball sized hail bouncing 8+ ft. off of the ground !

My truck is OK......I was away working.

Insurance adjuster due today (Monday).
I was home for the weekend, rained out. Looked at all the damage.

Sorry to hear it Reeves!!   WOW!   That really stinks!  Hopefully things will work out in the end for the better.

Feels like an oven around here, in the 90's this week, I'm ready for some fall 70 degree weather.

Yea,
Good luck brother!  For what you pay for insurance you should get some cooperation!  Weather just changed here in Michigan to 70 vs. 90-95 w/90% hum.  Thank goodness!
