Is it possible to stop pheasants from eating eggs once they get the taste of them??

I read the post below and have tried the suggestions but it has seemed to have little affect on them.    I have ample space thats not the problem.  I've upped their protein levels and nesting spots.  But to no avail.  Do I need to watch for the ones eating eggs and remove them from the pen??

Thanks,
Curt

That might be a good next step.  Maybe fill a water gun with some sort of dye to mark the offender.  I would think once a few eggs have been opened, others may peck at them and develop a taste for them.

Curt,

You can always try the hot sauce. It was posted back a couple of years ago. See if you can do a search on it. It seemed to have been explained quite well.
